I think we all can agree that the past few weeks have been nothing short of crazy. We are experiencing an era that will go down in the record books as one of the most extraordinary times in our country’s history…we will truly never forget this season of life! I hope that this email finds you healthy and hopeful for better times ahead, and I pray that Jesus will shine through your lives now more than ever!
In light of all that has happened with the COVID-19 pandemic, it should come as no surprise to you that we are choosing to postpone the National Wake Conference until a later date (TBD). This is in line with the current recommendations from the World Health Organization and the Center for Disease Control, that we should not be gathering people from various parts of the country to congregate in a large group for multiple days. Trust me, I am very upset about this. This is the first year since we began the NWC in 2013 that WakeWell will not host a gathering of Jesus-loving wake enthusiasts from all across the country to equip, encourage, and edify everyone in attendance. It saddens me deeply to not spend time with all of you as we begin the 2020 wake season…but the WakeWell Board of Directors and I feel confident that this is right choice for everyone.
We are currently working on creative solutions that can help us continue to accomplish the overall goals of the National Conference. In the coming weeks, WakeWell hopes to provide you with the same encouragement, edification, and equipping that you would normally receive in person. Stay up to date with our Facebook page and our Instagram account for any and all new content.
Lastly, if there is anything specific you want and/or need, please reach out and let me or Jacob know. We are here to serve and care for the wake community and all of its people. I love you all dearly, and I am honored to stand beside you as we continue to share the love of Jesus with the people in the wake culture!
Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay connected!
